CORVALLIS — The hallway toward JaMarcus Shephard’s office is lined with laminated plaques honoring Oregon State football players in the NFL: Brandin Cooks, Johnny Hekker and Nahshon Wright, to name a few. Current players wait in the lobby for assistant coaches to finish up their staff meeting. But one of the offices is dark, appears untouched, and is not likely to be used even once that meeting ends.
