I fault the pilots of the Skywest Metroliner too - when you're given a position and hold clearance with another bird on approach behind you ....a pilot can't just sit there hoping for a cleared for takeoff before it lands, speak up "Tower WTF!!!" or much worse if Skywest' s pilots weren't paying attention to ATC transmissions. Lots of changes after this. Aviation has not been good for air traffic controller Robin Lee Wascher, both her parents were killed in 1977, while flying to Oxnard for her sister's graduation, in a single-engine Aero Commander 112, the plane was never found. Flying is scary fun.
