Police raids huge fight between Turks, Lebanese and Kurds in Duisburg, Germany
Well, last night there was a huge fight going on in Duisburg, NRW, Germany.
First, police spotted a growing number of agressive men, who argued on a square about an unknown issue. When shit seemed to hit the fence, they called for backup and the riot police showed up in strong numbers (more than 50 officers).
When the riot police arrived, a huge fight broke loose between up to 80 men. Police divided the groups under massive use of force. In the second video it seems like riot police uses batons and pepper spray.
50 men came into custody, weapons were seized. Such as knifes, machetes and batons.
One officer got lightly injured, when bottles were thrown at the riot police.
In the news they say that the men where Turks, Kurds, Lebanese and "Germans". I dont know who they mean with "Germans", perhaps the police itself. ;-)
To all my american friends, who think we are anyway: You're basically right, but compared to your cities and hoods, our streets are still pretty safe. As long as shit like this only breaks out between ethnic minorities, most of our politicans and their voters dont give a shit about it. But times are about to change i hope, there is a very strong right-wing party coming up, the AfD, who won up to 40% of the votes in some areas and cities in Germany's last september's elections of the Bundestag (our parliment). They are Germany-wide now the second / third strongest party and still growing. I voted for them too, and so did many others who think that this kind of immigration should be stopped immediatly. We will see if voting is enough to keep this issue under control...
