The Syrian military says its air defense system has intercepted Israeli missiles west of the capital Damascus. This comes after the Israeli army accused QUOTE-Iranian forces of firing some 20 projectiles from Syrian soil at the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The Israeli army said some rockets were intercepted while others hit their targets. Earlier, Syrian media said Israeli troops shelled the city of Ba'ath in the southern province of Quneitra. This bungling drunk driver narrowly avoided a deadly crash - when he fell asleep and rolled across a ten-lane motorway. The sloshed motorist had finished a heavy night drinking when he stopped his black Toyota Altis during rain in Khon Kaen, Thailand just before sunrise. The Sacramento Police Department released body-camera footage showing the arrest of a man who police say left his car running outside a 7-Eleven on Friday morning, an incident that ended with the officer tackling the man to the ground and arresting him.
