The coronavirus was not synthesized, its origin was the result of “classical viral evolution in nature,” said the head of the State Scientific Center for Virology and Biotechnology “Vector” Rinat Maksyutov, noting that this is indicated by the analysis of all its genomes. Maksyutov also added that the recently detected coronaviruses, which are found in nature, but do not pose a danger to humans, differ from SARS-CoV-2 by no more than one percent.

Alexander Gunzburg, the head of the Sputnik V vaccine, also agrees with his opinion on the origin of the coronavirus that caused the pandemic. According to him, this is indicated by the fact that RNA-containing viruses change very quickly.

“Another thing is how he penetrated into our human population – in a random way, in a natural way, that is, the logistics of this process. I do not presume to speak, because I was not present, ”he concluded.

Earlier on December 19, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova voiced two scenarios for the end of the coronavirus pandemic in Russia. According to her, this may happen by spring or even earlier.
