TV presenter and doctor of medical sciences Elena Malysheva on the air of the program “Life is great!” named the period during which antibodies remain in those who have been vaccinated against coronavirus. An excerpt from the episode posted on YouTube.
According to Malysheva, the duration of observation of those vaccinated with Sputnik V is 10 months. At the same time, throughout this time, those who were vaccinated retain a high amount of antibodies neutralizing the virus.
“This is the most important thing – not just to have antibodies, but to have antibodies that can attach to the virus and neutralize it,” explained the TV doctor. Malysheva added that, according to the creators of the vaccine, the effect of the drug will last for at least two years after vaccination. “Most likely, it will be a vaccine that is administered less than once a year,” the doctor concluded.
Earlier, Malysheva called the main mistake Russians make during the coronavirus pandemic. According to her, the likelihood of death from COVID-19 and a severe course of the disease dramatically increases diabetes mellitus. Therefore, the doctor advised Russians to buy glucometers and monitor blood sugar levels.
