Lakers considered ‘strong front-runners’ to sign Jamil Wilson to 10-day contract
The Lakers may have found the shooter they’re looking for.
Shortly after waiving 12-year veteran Andrew Bogut on Saturday, the Los Angeles Lakers reportedly began their “aggressive” search for a shooter on a 10-day contract and according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the search might already be over.
Assuming he clears waivers today, the Lakers are strong front-runners to sign forward Jamil Wilson to a 10-day contract, league sources tell ESPN.

Jamil Wilson signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Clippers earlier this summer, but was waived ahead of the contract guarantee deadline in favor of depth at the guard position.
In his short time with the Clippers, Wilson started 10 of the 15 games he played for Los Angeles, averaging seven points and 2.1 rebounds in 18.3 minutes per game.
While his stats aren’t jaw-dropping, the Lakers’ interest in Wilson is a no-brainer. The Lakers desperately need shooters and Wilson shot above 42 percent from behind the arc on 4.2 attempts per game.
Keep it tuned in here as we wait for an official announcement.
