Black Comix Art Festival
The fourth annual Black Comix Art Festival returns to San Francisco and is packed with events from film screenings to youth activities, conversations with popular artists and more. One attraction of note is an artist demonstration from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the de Young Museum (50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive) led by Robert Love, creator of “Alpha Girl.”
All festival events, which run through Monday, Jan. 15, at various city venues, are free and open to the public.
The festival is part of the NorCalMLK Community Foundation’s annual celebrations in San Francisco. This year marks 50 years since the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
