Do we have a communications director now? Hasn't he been made chairman, so there is a role to fill.
I personally think that comms out of the club from 2015 onwards have been pretty poor. Not entirely the fault of Mike Latham, but because of how the club as a whole (or just DB?) have chosen to address things. Way issues around Penky, Barlow, Chase etc... dragged the club's reputation through the mud, and things like response to Ridyard signing for Fev showed that we cannot get our point across without seemingly looking for a tit for tat argument. All they had to do was thank him for his service, say he was offered a contract and wish him the best in the future. Didn't need any quotes, statements and certainly didn't need some nonsense about joint releases and how we'd been wronged as a club.
Just before the Batley game, we were subjected to an excuciatingly long piece about taking food and drink into the ground. It is what it is, just tell us what we need to know and don't spend 500 words trying to justify yourselves!
The press release, announcing Mike's appointment as Chairman, indicated that he still is Communications Director, including the time-consuming (believe me! ) role of matchday magazine editor.

You do make an interesting observation about how some of our announcements seem to get embroiled in 'tit for tat' arguments. Whatever the rights and wrongs of the departures of the likes of Ridyard, Brierley etc, these guys had been our heroes, and maybe just a 'thanks for your service to our club' would have sufficed on their departure. Unfortunately, (just on the evidence of the Toronto game) some of these guys seem to have been highly motivated by something on their return to LSV!
As for Sunday's kick off change, I'm not happy about it, but somebody did suggest that LSV has a prior booking at 3 p.m. Doesn't that still seem the likely reason for change? (although a lot of discontent could have been avoided by announcing that, up front, I suppose)
