[Men's Tennis] Cavs Fall in AAC's, Return Full Squad in Fall
The Montreat Cavaliers men's tennis team dropped their first-round AAC match to the Reinhardt Eagles on Friday in Chattanooga, 5-0. The Eagles went on to win their fourth straight AAC Championship
Earlier in the day, the AAC announced its 2018 men's tennis honorees. Included on that list were Eric Dunlap (SO/Cartersville, GA) and Leopoldo Lucero as AAC All-Academics and Lorward Choi (JR/Torrance, CA) as a Champion of Character.
The Cavaliers closed out their 2017-2018 season with a 9-14 match record, just one off the pace from their 2016-2017 record of 10-14, and well-improved over their 2015-2016 record of 2-12. On an individual basis, Anh Hoang broke school records for both singles (11) and doubles (12) wins in a single season.
Montreat's roster didn't include any seniors this year, promising the likelihood of an outstanding 2018-2019 campaign.
