How major US stock indexes fared Friday
The major U.S. stock indexes closed mostly higher Friday as health care company gains outweighed losses in technology and other sectors. Despite the uneven finish, the market ended the week with its best weekly gain since early March.
Drug makers and other health companies got a boost after plans announced by the White House to rein in drug prices didn't seem to pose immediate threats to health care company profits.
