Cristiano Ronaldo gives UEFA an important reason to name the Champions League after him
Having won the Champions League a record five times with over 120 goals in the process, Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has told UEFA to name the Champions League after him. He finished with 15 goals this term.

Real Madrid superstar became the first player to win the UEFA Champions League title five times after helping his side beat Liverpool in Kiev on Saturday, May 26.
Two goals from Gareth Bale and one from Karim Benzema ensured Sadio Made’s goal was a mere consolation as Los Blancos ran away with a 3-1 victory after the game.
However, the Portuguese star also won the highest goal scorer of the tournament after scoring 15 goals in this year’s edition of the championship.
He is also the all-time highest goals scorer of the tournament with 120 goals – 20 more than his arch rival, Lionel Messi, who reached 100 goals before in Barcelona’s 3-0 victory over Chelsea earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the former Manchester United winger while reacting to questions from journalist following the triumph suggested that the competition be named after him.
When asked if he was disappointed not to score in this season's final, Ronaldo replied: "Who's disappointed?
"Perhaps they need to change the name of the Champions League to the CR7 Champions League. Who has the most titles and who has the most goals?"
The Portugal international after winning his fourth Champions League title with Real Madrid might be calling it quit with the Galacticos soon, but insists he will make his decisions known to the fans in the coming days.
Ronaldo told BeIN Sports after the game in Kiev yesterday: "in the next few days."

He joined Real Madrid from Manchester United in the then world record transfer fee of £80 million for six years, meanwhile, his current contract at the club expires in the summer of 2021.
The 33-year-old has won five ballon d’Ors, four UEFA best player awards. He also has five Champions League titles among several other trophies including the 2016 UEFA European Championship with Portugal.
