A.C. Green Teams Up With “No Kid Hungry” Initiative
Thursday, March 24, 2011 A new program called “No Kid Hungry” is adding breakfast to the school curriculum. In L.A. County, more than 300,000 students who eat free or reduced-price school lunches don’t eat school breakfasts, according to the California Food Policy Advocates. To make sure students don’t start the day hungry, No Kid Hungry, with funding from the Wal-Mart Foundation, intends to help childcare centers and schools make better use of funds already available.
