Shares of Fogo de Chao Inc. rose marginally late Tuesday after the company released its first quarterly results since going public in June. The Brazilian steakhouse said its second-quarter earnings fell to $2.5 million, or 10 cents a share, from $3.7 million, or 16 cents a share, in the year-earlier period. (AP) — Oklahoma linebacker Frank Shannon said he planned to return to the Sooners after a one-year suspension following a Title IX sexual misconduct investigation, although he wondered at times if it would happen. In April 2014, an Oklahoma student accused Shannon of sexual assault. Stocks closed lower Tuesday after an unexpected devaluation of the yuan by China's central bank sparked concern that the move could weaken the U.S. economy. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 212.33 points, or 1.2%, to finish at 17,402.84, after being down nearly 263 points. The S&P 500 Index shed 20.11 points, or 1%, to close at 2,084.07, after being down nearly 28 points earlier. NEW YORK - Good news for existing Verizon customers: You'll still be able to get discounted phones for $100 or $200 by renewing a two-year service contract.

Existing customers eligible for discounted phones [...] they'll pay full price — it's $650 for an iPhone 6 — while monthly fees for voice, text and data will go down. Verizon clarified its policy in an email to The Associated Press on Tuesday.

NEW YORK (AP) — Meghan Trainor is canceling the rest of her North American tour because of a vocal cord hemorrhage and she plans to get surgery. The singer wrote on Instagram on Tuesday that she also has bronchitis and she’s “been coughing a lot and that pushed it over the edge.” She wrote to fans: “I am devastated, scared, and so sorry.” Trainor canceled shows last month because of her damaged vocal cords.
