Cape Town - Cape religious leaders have called on the government to sever ties with Israel following US President Donald Trump’s controversial plan to relocate the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Trump’s move last Wednesday to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and commit to moving the US embassy to the holy city prompted international criticism and sparked protests across the world.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul, called Israel "a terrorist state" and proposed to proclaim Jerusalem the capital of Palestine in response to US actions.

Österreichs Arbeitsmarkt erholt sich weiter von der Wirtschaftskrise. Warsaw (dpa) - Poland‘s new right-wing prime minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, won a confidence vote in parliament on Wednesday, vowing to continue his Law and Justice (PiS) party‘s social programme, with an added focus on the economy.The former bank manager won the confidence vote by 243-192 in the lower house of the Polish parliament in the early hours of Wednesday.Before the vote, Morawiecki had laid out his plans for government, building on the social policies of the party‘s winning manifesto from 2015, and combining a new focus on the economy.
