The 46-foot white spruce donated by Ross McKellar and Teresa Simpson from Oxford, Nova Scotia will be cut down during a ceremony on Thursday. On Nov. 20, the Boston Police Department will escort the tree from Billerica to the Boston Common. The tree will be greeted by an official Nova Scotia town crier, Santa Claus and schoolchildren. EVANSVILLE, Ind. — A man convicted in a fatal shooting outside a southwestern Indiana strip club has been sentenced to 82 years in prison. A Vanderburgh County judge ordered the sentence Friday for 35-year-old Clarence Miller, who was convicted last month on murder and other charges for the April 2017 shooting in Evansville.
