GB captain Hollie Pearne-Webb hailed a “big milestone for female sport” after the world hockey body changed the players’ kit rule to enable athletes to wear skirts, skorts or shorts at their convenience.
England and Great Britain Hockey are delighted by the FIH's decision today to amend the international kit regulations to allow female athletes the freedom of choice of clothing to wear at future international competitions.

India suffered a 4-1 defeat against the Netherlands in the second European leg of the FIH Hockey Pro League matches in Eindhoven on Wednesday.
India Captain Harmanpreet Singh scored the lone goal for India
Eindhoven, 8th June 2023: Hosts Netherlands defeated Indian Men's Hockey Team 4-1 in a closely-fought encounter here in the ongoing FIH Hockey Pro League 2022-23. While Harmanpreet Singh (11’) scored India's lone goal, Pepijn Reyenga (17'), Boris Burkhardt (40') and Duco Telgenkamp (41', 58') scored in the home team's victory.
The Netherlands women marked their return to international hockey with a dominant 4-0 victory against China as FIH Hockey Pro League action headed to Eindhoven, so extending their unbeaten record in the tournament so far. It was a night for the debutants in the Netherlands men’s team, three of them scoring in their team’s 4-1 victory over India.
