Jenny Lewis Throws Back to Troop Beverly Hills in "She's Not Me" Music Video, Gives Us a Thrill: Watch!
What a thrill! Jenny Lewis threw back to her 1989 classic movie Troop Beverly Hills for her new music video "She's Not Me" — minus Miss Shelley Long!
The actress-turned-indie rock singer enlisted some of her famous pals for the nostalgia-filled goodness, including Girls' Zosia Mamet, and Saturday Night Live's Vanessa Bayer and Fred Armisen.
The "Just One of the Guys" songstress, 39, reprised her role as Hannah Nefler from the adventure comedy — with a twist! Instead of Phyllis Nefler's (Long) innocent Girl Scout daughter who beats out the Red Feathers ("It's cookie time!"), she's now a bad former child star who gets locked up. Lewis, who is currently on tour, and the gang also pay homage to The Golden Girls (nice wigs, ladies — and Armisen!) and the 1989 flick The Wizard. Lewis played Daisy in a 1987 episode of The Golden Girls, and Haley in the adventure comedy.
