FIRED The Apprentice star Lubna Farham says she cried every day while on the process as she slams the other extreme and overacting candidates.
Lubna, 33, became the fourth person to be eliminated from the BBC show, which sees 16 candidates go head-to-head to secure investment for their business ideas from Lord Sugar.
However, the process began to take its toll on Lubna as she was kept away from her two young children – causing her to break down every day.
Speaking to The Sun Online, the mum-of-two said: “I have two small kids – a two-year-old and one-year-old – and mentally I was really struggling being away from them.
“I was looking after them 24/7 – and before The Apprentice I was on maternity leave – and then all of a sudden I was put in this with these extreme personalities with basically no contact with my family.
“I really struggled because I was feeling guilty because they were probably missing me and I’m in this process going after money.
“Which I suddenly realised I don’t even need or want. Being in a millionaire’s house I just realised it was bricks and mortar and doesn’t make me happy at all.
“I realised I already have what I want with my family and children. Every day I was having this realisation and I was crying every single day missing my kids.”
This week saw the two rival teams attempt to sell the most electronic bicycles, with Team Empower’s Aphrodite beating out Team Unison’s E-Fit.
Lubna was brought into the boardroom alongside sub-team Marianne and project manager Thomas.
She slammed some of the other contestants for getting into the process to become a celebrity and said some were “overacting”.
Lubna added: “I’m not sure whether Lord Sugar is actually looking for an entertainer.
“There’s extreme personalities. A lot of them are overacting. They are trying to get the attention and be in the limelight and thinking about all the opportunities to become a celebrity in the process.
“I’m not interested, I’m happy with my family and children.”
She added: “I’d rather come in and lose than come in and not lose for the wrong reasons.
“A lot of them have acting backgrounds or they’ve been in the media in one way or another, so it is difficult for them to say they are not in [the process] for the media reasons.
“For me, I have zero acting experience and I’ve never been in front of a camera – I’m an introvert.
“I was very conscious about how I was being portrayed and was trying to be conscious and careful and trying to be professional.”

How she was portrayed isn’t something Lubna has control over – which she now knows.
Lubna claims they edited her final answer in the boardroom, when Lord Sugar asked what she contributed to the task.
The businesswoman added: “The answer they showed was not the answer I gave for that question. I actually gave a summary of what I did in the task, that was the answer to a different question.
“Why would I say I have integrity when he asked what I did? It is editing. If they showed my true answer that probably wouldn’t justify why I got fired.”
This series of The Apprentice has been embroiled in multiple racism allegations.
In one incident, Lottie Lion told Lubna to “Shut up, Gandhi” in a WhatsApp group.
Lubna said about the situation: “Every individual is responsible for their actions and words in the process and outside the process.
“I would say that she is only 19 and she’s done amazing to be in the process. She is very strong, and she’s got a lot to learn in terms of respecting other human beings.
“I hope she views this experience as a positive thing and a learning experience.”
