St Etienne coach Puel tribute to Khun Vichai
Ahead of their clash with Amiens, St Etienne coach Claude Puel paid tribute to Khun Vichai on the anniversary of his death.
The Foxes chairman died one year ago today along with four others when his helicopter crashed outside the King Power Stadium.
Puel was the manager on the night City drew 1-1 with West Ham, hours before the club's greatest tragedy unfolded, on Saturday October 27, 2018.
"October 27th is a special day for Leicester and myself. A day which is a mix of sadness and admiration," he said in a prepared tribute.
"A year ago, the death of President Vichai left us orphaned. He won the hearts of a club, a city and thousands of supporters, who formed a single family with him.
"He gave LCFC incredible strength while respecting the values of the club. He showed the players and fans that nothing is impossible... A year on, I still think of all he has built, all the good he created around him but also of the pride he has given to Leicester."
