China has said that positive effects of the second informal summit between President Xi Jinping and PM Modi are gradually showing and it is keen to promote defence and security cooperation with India. Chinese ambassador Sun Weidong, in a interview to PTI, also said that discussions were under way between the two sides to operationalise a high-level economic and trade dialogue mechanism
