Coronation Street fans spot blunder as Bethany Platt ‘ignores’ Gemma’s house being set on fire in front of her
CORONATION Street fans spotted a huge blunder in tonight’s episode as Bethany Platt seemed to ignore the fire at Gemma Winter’s house.
The waitress – who is played by Lucy Fallon in the ITV soap – walked along the cobbles and to the garage to speak to Abi Franklin without noticing the drama across the road.
A vigilante had spray painted the word “PAEDO” on the window of the house and shoved a burning rag through the door.
The graffiti and the flames were clearly visible to anyone on the street but it wasn’t until Chesney walked back home that he noticed what was going on.
Gemma and the babies were sleeping upstairs soundly also unaware of the danger they were in.
Across the road, in direct line of sight to the house, Bethany was asking Abi about Ray and her own plans to become manager at the Bistro.
It wasn’t until Chesney began screaming for Gemma that Bethany and Abi noticed the flames at the door.
“Call 999 said Abi,” as she grabbed a fire extinguisher and raced across the road to put the fire out.
Ambulances rushed to the scene to take the babies to hospital for monitoring, but surprisingly few residents appeared to notice what had gone on.
And viewers were confused at why no-one noticed the fire in the first place.
