Phillip Schofield was ‘screaming’ and ‘kicked off’ seconds before This Morning went on air over blunders
THIS Morning’s Phillip Schofield was “screaming” and “kicked off” seconds before going on air today.
The 58-year-old wasn’t in a good mood when today’s This Morning began.
He fumed: “I’m just kicking off, I’m kicking off. Everything’s going wrong.”
Holly got the giggles as she nervously told viewers: “You say kicking off but if you heard five seconds ago Phil was actually screaming.”
Phillip sighed as he explained he’s struggling with his failing eyesight – and couldn’t read the script before going on air.
“If you’ve followed the show for a long time you’ll know years ago I had my eyes lasered,” he said.
“They have been incredible, unbelievable.
“I’ve got one distance eye and one reading eye and since Christmas I’ve thought the reading eye is slipping.
“I want to have my eyes lasered again, but it’s not open.”
As he can’t have the operation until the coronavirus pandemic is controlled, Holly suggested he give in to his bad eyesight and wear glasses.
“Put your glasses on! I like glasses,” she told.
But Phil moaned: “I can’t do it, I just don’t want to. And that’s why I’m sat further way.”

The cameraman then cheekily put the shot out of focus to show viewers what Phil is likely to see because of his bad eyes.
