After The Weeknd, Drake & Justin Bieber, Which Canadian Artist Should Sing in Spanish Next? Vote!
The Weeknd joins a growing list of Canadian artists who’ve sung in Spanish after he hopped on a remix of Maluma’s “Hawái” on Thursday (Nov. 5). But who should be next?
Those who’ve already checked off having at least one Spanish-language song in their catalog include Drake (“Mia” with Bad Bunny), Justin Bieber (“Despacito” with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee), Snow (“Con Calma” with Daddy Yankee), Michael Bublé (“Bésame Mucho with Thalia), Alessia Cara (“Querer Mejor” with Juanes) and Celine Dion (who has recorded Spanish versions of her own hits).
Shawn Mendes may have a No. 1 hit with his girlfriend Camila Cabello called “Señorita,” but he has yet to record full verses in Spanish. And Drake and The Weeknd could tap their OVO and XO partners PartyNextDoor and Nav, respectively, to follow their lead.
So which Canadian act should tap the mic in Spanish next? Vote below!
