I’m a fashion expert – how to nail 70s style and look as groovy as Amazon’s Daisy Jones and The Six cast
AFTER the release of TV series Daisy Jones & The Six on Amazon Prime last week, fans have gone wild for Seventies style, with sales of flares rocketing by 85 per cent.
Here, Abby McHale shows you how to dress like you have stepped back.

EMBRACE Seventies style with a floaty midi dress such as this paisley option from Reserved.
If you want to go one step further, add a waistcoat like this brown number from The Hippie Shake – then pair with some knee-length boots and aviator glasses for the ultimate retro feel.
VEST IN SHOW
SWEATER vests were a big part of Seventies fashion and they still look cool today.
Wear on its own or layer it up with a pussy-bow blouse for an extra detail.

JUMP ABOUT
IT just wouldn’t be the Seventies without a killer jumpsuit and some statement platforms.
This halterneck jumpsuit from River Island is certainly a showstopper and paired with some metallic gold heels, you’ve got an outfit ready for the disco.
Jumpsuit, £65, River Island; necklace, £39.99, earrings, £29.99, both Pilgrim; heels, £79, Warehouse[/caption]STRIPE OUT
IF you want to join the Seventies trend but still stay extra comfy, then a pair of elasticated flared trousers like these from Reserved are the ideal addition to your wardrobe.
Not only do they tick the flare box but the burnt orange colour also screams “retro”.
Jumper, £32, Next; trousers, £29.99; boots, £35.99, Reserved[/caption]This thin-striped jumper from Next is a great lightweight option for a knit for the colder months, and is a subtle nod to the era without being OTT.
I’M WITH THE BAND
YOU’RE never too old to wear a band T-shirt, which you can pair with jeans, or smart trousers, like these from Next for a neater style.
Keeping warm in this bitter weather needn’t mean looking ordinary, so for an extra layer, a shearling coat is a great option to add to a Seventies look.
Jacket, £75, T-shirt, £22, shoes, £40, all Topshop; trousers, £46, sunglasses, £15, both Next[/caption]And this one from Topshop will be sure to keep you cosy.
DOUBLE DENIM
DOUBLE denim is everywhere this season, so why not experiment with the look by pairing it with a denim shirt and a denim midi skirt?
This skirt from M&S has an elasticated waistband making it extra comfortable.

DARE TO FLARE
FLARES are one of the biggest jean trends of the season, which is great news as they’re super-flattering on all shapes and sizes.
This dark blue pair from M&S gives a more grown-up feel to the look.
Blouse, £39, Warehouse; jeans, £35, M&S; boots, £77, River Island; earrings, £3, Primark; necklace, £29.99, Pilgrim[/caption]Paired with a wrap-style top and suede boots, you’ll be sure to put your best foot forward when stepping out in this.
