Two members of a special Michigan State Police unit have been hurt in an incident in Detroit. Several Detroit news media outlets report the troopers were shot during the incident Friday evening. The troopers’ medical conditions haven't been released. MSP spokesman 1st Lt. Mike Shaw tells The Detroit News both were believed to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A suspect was briefly barricaded but was in custody by 7:30 p.m., roughly two hours after the incident began. The officers were members of the MSP Emergency Support Team, created to handle highly dangerous and critical incidents facing law enforcement.
