I dropped out of school at 14 as a failure – I wanted to prove all my doubters wrong… now I’m a world-famous singer
A MAN who dropped out of school aged 14 has proved all his doubters wrong after becoming a world-famous singer.
Emmyn Calleiro – aka Games we Play – took to TikTok to share a video documenting his incredible rise to fame.
“When I was 14, I stopped going to school,” he wrote over the clip, which began with him sitting on his bed.
“I was failing all my classes so my parents thought it was a better idea for me just to drop out.
“So I started working at 14.
“I worked at Target, Starbucks, Whole Foods and even started a band.”
Three years later, he met a girl, and things were going really well apart from the fact that her parents “hated” him.
“I was almost 18, had no job at the time and no education,” he continued.
“They saw a loser who couldn’t take care of their daughter.
“It’s four years later now and we’re married.
“I got signed and had the number one song in the world earlier this year.”
The song he was referring to is the viral tune I Hope You’re Happy, which he released in May 2022 – at the same time he announced he’d been signed by Fueled By Ramen and DCD2 Records.
Since his success, he’s dropped more tunes, including Get a Job, which featured in the TikTok video.
“I wrote this song to her parents because they really hurt my feelings,” he explained.
People in the comments section were quick to praise Emmyn’s success story, with one writing: “Congrats man!

“I love your story man. I’m so happy everything is working out for you and u get to make music now,” another added.
“Absolutely amazing!” a third commented.
