Boebert Caught In Massive Lie About Why She Missed Debt Ceiling Vote
Crazy-time Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert missed the vote to raise the debt ceiling after criticizing the deal for weeks. The House passed the bill at a 314-117 vote, but Boebert did not show up to vote no as she promised. Lauren finally addressed the criticism surrounding her absence by lying. And if you'll recall, she was one of the holdouts with the votes for Kevin McCarthy's role as Speaker. So, you'd think she would show up.
"Call it a no-show protest, but I certainly let every one of my colleagues and the country know I was against this garbage of a bill and against bypassing the voice of each representative," she insisted in a video posted on Twitter. "Deals cut in the dark are why we are headed towards $36 trillion in debt, and I refuse to be a part of it."
But she's lying.
