The number of registered electric vehicles (EVs) in Delhi has surpassed 1 lakh since the implementation of the city's EV policy in August 2020, with 65% of the total sales being two and three-wheelers. The Delhi Government is now planning to further incentivize the adoption of EVs by providing subsidies and cheaper charging facilities for government employees, to meet its target of ensuring 25% of new vehicle registrations are electric cars by 2024.
