My boyfriend doesn’t do public shows of affection and even when we are alone, I’ll say, “Can I have a kiss, please?” But I came home tonight to see him looking worried.
He said he had some-thing to tell me and confessed a family member had abused him when he was a child. I feel so terrible now.
I imagine this is why he isn’t into sex or being near me.
DEIDRE SAYS: Yes, quite probably. It is good that he has taken you into his confidence.
It may have been the first time he’s talked about this, and could be the start of his healing.
