'Enemy no. 1': Insiders describe Trump vendetta against GOP strategist who snubbed him
Donald Trump and his allies are sending a message to GOP campaigns not to hire Republican strategist Jeff Roe or his firm after he worked for Ron DeSantis, Politico reported.
According to Politico, the move is designed to deprive Roe's political consulting firm, Axiom, in an act of political retribution. Roe was previously a top strategist for the DeSantis super PAC, Never Back Down. He resigned last month after news reports of infighting.
“It’s an open secret that candidates who want to stay on President Trump’s good side should not hire Axiom,” an influential Republican strategist told Politico. “They are enemy No. 1.”

"The attempt to isolate Roe highlights the lengths to which Trump will go to enforce loyalty — and punish disloyalty — to him within the GOP," wrote Politico.
"The former president is known to keep close tabs on which elected officials have endorsed him, how strongly they’ve expressed support and whether they stuck by him during low points."
After helping to get Glenn Youngkin elected as governor of Virginia, Roe met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, who was reportedly considering bringing Roe on to run his campaign. But after advisers convinced Trump not to hire him, Roe went to work for DeSantis.
