He sat alongside Sara, Deborah, Steven, Touker and Peter with a wad of cash ready to invest.
The first hopeful to enter the den was Billy Childs with his impressive football memorabilia business.
His company BC Boots sells authentic football boots that have been worn in some of the biggest matches by iconic players.
The unique shoes are impossible to find in high-street stores and BC Boots gives customers the opportunity to get their hands on football boots that are really worn by players.
Despite being impressed by his idea, Gary was sceptical about how Billy acquired the expensive boots.
He told him: “There isn’t a single football player that I know that ever gives their boots, gloves and shirt away to be profited from.
“Certainly the modern player, they ordinarily would give those away to auction for charity or they would give them away as a gift to a member of the community or a fan.
“Football players wouldn’t like the idea of their property that was gifted to someone being profited from.”
It led to all of the dragons including the Manchester United star declaring they were out.
The scenes left fans stunned at home, with one writing: “So what the chances Gary Neville invests on this idea that’s on #dragonsden feels abit set up to me.”
A second wrote: “Gary Neville preaching about profiting from memorabilia.”
“What’s this? Pity the poor footballers? They made a fortune off people to kick a ball about doing something loads of people would love to do for a living,” said a third.
While a fourth commented: “But footballers have no problems with people selling merch with their faces on?? or selling tickets extortionate for prices.”
Dragons’ Den continues on BBC One and iPlayer.
