Marjorie Taylor Greene stomps out of hearing when Dem points out she hugged Jan. 6ers
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was seen walking out of a hearing on Tuesday after being called out for hugging Jan. 6 defendants.
At a House Oversight hearing, Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) said it was ironic that Greene complained about crime in Washington, D.C.
"I want to remind the gentlelady that it was her that actually organized a trip to the D.C. jail to hug and high-five and sit with the insurrectionists that actually attacked our Capitol," Garcia said. "This is quite ironic that the insurrectionists that tried to overthrow our government in the Capitol City were being coddled — were being, were actually being coddled by, it's quite a shame that you call them political prisoners or hostages, I think maybe you called them."

At that point, Greene appeared to heckle Garcia before walking out of the hearing room.
"Mr. Chairman, she's not recognized," someone noted.
Garcia continued after Greene exited.
"So I think it's quite interesting that my colleague was trying to talk about the safety of D.C. when she literally supported an insurrection, an attack on the Capitol, visited the prisoners," he said.
