Players Championship 2024 prize money: How much are snooker stars competing for in Telford?
THE Players Championship returns on Monday – and the reigning champion will not compete in Telford.
Shaun Murphy claimed the trophy last year after beating fellow Englishman Ali Carter 10-4 in the final.
This year, ‘The Magician’ has not qualified for the tournament due to his first round exit at the Welsh Open to Barry Pinches.
World No1 Ronnie O’Sullivan is scheduled to be in action at the Players Championship on Tuesday despite pulling out of last week’s tournament in Llandudno due to “stage fright”.
The Rocket has not confirmed if he will return to snooker for the second Players Series event of the year.
O’Sullivan has been in superb form in 2024 so far, winning the Masters and World Grand Prix.
