New York Jets-themed airplane stops by Albany International
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The 2023 - 2024 NFL season may have come to an end, but a recent sighting in Albany has sparked excitement for New York football fans. Albany International Airport shared that on February 19 they hosted a stop by JetBlue’s "I Love NY Airbus A320" which is dedicated to the New York Jets.
Landing at and taking off from Albany early on Monday morning, the Jets-themed plane features a sleek livery displaying the team's colors of Gotham green, stealth black and spotlight white. As for the team the plane represents, the Jets will hope to get back on track next season after losing star quarterback Aaron Rodgers in last year's opening game due to an Achilles injury.
The team would go on to miss the playoffs, extending their league-leading active playoff drought. The Jets' last playoff game was in the AFC Championship of the 2010 - 2011 season.
