Body language expert Judi James praised the beautiful snap, saying to Fabulous: “The phrase ‘They saved the best till last’ might be true of this gorgeous, unseen wedding photo that shows the couple not only slightly more relaxed than some of the more formal poses shared at the time, but also far more open with their emotional displays via some subtle but telling body language signals.
“William has allowed his signals of status and desire to protect Kate as she is inducted into the royal firm to drop gently here and as a result he wears the facial expression of an excited and delighted small child, one that we saw him wear so many times as he was growing up.
“This is a coy, bashful smile as he stands behind the woman he clearly loves and it is that slither of shyness that makes it an authentic look of love.
“William holds Kate around the hips to make her look like some precious prize or gift that he wants to hold onto, although there is also a sexier hint here from what is quite and intimate touch for a royal couple.
“Kate’s smile is completely symmetric as her torso leans back against her husband’s here.
“This symmetry shows authentic happiness and, with her gleam of excitement in her eye expression matching William’s, they look like a couple that see their royal marriage as a very great adventure to embark on together.”
The anniversary photo has already been liked tens of thousands of times, and many fans have rushed in the comments to send their well wishes to the couple.
One person said: “I watched the streaming on YouTube countless times. Everything was so perfect. What a beautiful couple!”
Another added: “What a beautiful unseen photo.”
Meanwhile, photographer Millie wrote: “Happy wedding anniversary. Can’t believe it’s been 13 years. Remember this moment so well.”
The future King and Queen are thought to be celebrating their 13 years of marriage privately today – as Kate continues to recover following her cancer diagnosis.
She praised her husband for his support during “an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family” in an emotional message to the nation last month announcing her health news.

“Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance,” she said.
Kate, 42, told how her diagnosis had come as a huge shock and that she and William “have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family”.
The prince returned to work following the Easter holidays when the Waleses spent quality time with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Kate and William first met while studying art history at St Andrew’s University, where the Prince fell head over heels for Kate during a charity fashion show she was modelling in.
