A BEAUTY guru has revealed the budget-friendly hair removal treatment she does at home for flawless skin.

She confessed to having previously put her face through “torture” before trying the hack.

The advice was shared on Reddit’s Skincare_Addiction forum after a user shared a photo of herself.

She spoke candidly about being hesitant to start dermaplanning as she feared it would make her grow a beard.

According to Healthline, the cosmetic procedure can cost up to $250 per session.

It involves using an exfoliating blade to remove dead skin cells and hair from the face to achieve a smooth look.

The beauty treatment can be performed at home as well as by a dermatologist or plastic surgeon.

A Redditor posting under the handle Undiagnosedadd reassured the user that she should go ahead with doing the procedure at home.

“I am a Persian girl who has gone through at least 10 laser surgeries, started waxing my face at 13, tweezing like nobody’s business and even threading,” she wrote. 

“With all that torture to my face, I still need to shave my face weekly and my skin comes out the most beautiful compared to all those other techniques. 

“Here’s how I do it.

“Go on Amazon and buy some twinkle eyebrow razors, these will become your new best friends.

“Also buy at least 70 percent rubbing alcohol.

“Also buy your favorite face oil, mine is jojoba.

“Grab some paper towels and now you’re ready for safe, affordable, essentially at-home dermaplaning!

“First make sure you’re face is washed clean. 

“Then add your jojoba oil, a generous amount so you feel a nice oil barrier formed on your skin.

“Then sanitize your razor with the rubbing alcohol and paper towel. Make sure the alcohol dries from the razor before you apply it to your skin.

“With soft diagonal strokes, gently shave off section by section of your entire face, even forehead and nose area.

“Make sure you rub your razor with alcohol after every inch shaved, to ensure you don’t let your razor get too dirty.”

The Redditor said the process removes hair, oil, and dirt from the face if the razor is kept clean.

She added that the procedure should feel “therapeutic” and pain-free. 

“Finish off the shave sesh with some ice-cold water and your face will look so snatched,” she said.

“Let your face rest and dry before continuing with the rest of your routine. Good luck and I hope this works for you.

“Sidenote about hair thickness: while yes it may be true that shaving can stimulate hair growth a little bit, it is not true that the hair will suddenly grow significantly thicker, or will become a beard, solely because you’re shaving.”

She said waxing occasionally can be beneficial for thinning out hair if necessary.
