Manoj Jarange Patil ended his 20-day fast after government assurances were received. A delegation met Patil and requested him to call off his hunger strike. The government assured speedy issuance of Kunbi caste certificates to eligible Marathas. Legal clearances and advocate general's opinion are needed for this process. The state will provide official recognition of historical administrative records within three months.
