Temperatures in Kazakhstan to drop to -10°C

Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet forecasters have released the weather forecast for October 22, 23 and 24.

Frost to hit Kazakhstan

According to the forecast, a cold anticyclone is moving into Kazakhstan, replacing the cyclone that brought rain and snow. The cold spell will begin in the western regions before spreading across the rest of the country.

In northern and eastern regions, nighttime temperatures are expected to gradually fall from 0…+5°C to -5…-10°C.

A noticeable drop in temperatures is also forecast in southern Kazakhstan. At night, temperatures may fall to -2…-7°C, while daytime temperatures will reach only +2…+7°C.

What will winter be like in Kazakhstan

Earlier, forecasters outlined what kind of weather Kazakhstan can expect this coming winter. According to the preliminary forecast, the 2026–2027 winter will be relatively warm, although some regions may receive more precipitation than the climatic norm.
