Tengrinews.kz — A 23-year-old resident of Shchuchinsk reported a 1.3 million tenge scam to the police involving an acquaintance. Paid for military ID and lost everything
According to police records, the young man handed over 1.3 million tenge to an acquaintance in May 2024. In exchange for the money, the individual promised to assist him in obtaining a military service certificate.
Several months passed, but the young man never received the promised document. His money was not returned either.
As a result, he filed a police report. A fraud investigation has been launched. Law enforcement has identified the suspected fraudster and is currently conducting investigative procedures.

"Furthermore, law enforcement will examine the actions of the applicant himself for potential legal violations," the Akmola Region Police Department stated.

Why the victim could face investigation
Attempting to obtain a military ID through illegal means can also lead to criminal liability.
