“We have overcome difficult challenges with dignity” — President

Tengrinews.kz — Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke at a ceremony marking Republic Day, according to the Akorda press service.
“A popular saying goes: ‘Yntymak – myzgymas korgan’ (‘Unity is an unbreakable shield’). We are a nation that looks to the future with confidence and optimism. Thanks to harmony and stability, we have overcome difficult challenges with dignity. By increasing the country’s prosperity, we have broadened the horizons of our development. As a united nation, we have successfully implemented fundamental transformations. Most importantly, based on the will of the people, we adopted a new Constitution — a sacred document that serves as an unwavering guide for us. The Constitution that has entered into force has become the cornerstone of the legislation of our multiethnic state,” he said.
The Head of State emphasized that every principle and every article of the Basic Law is intended to serve the interests of the country.

“The country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the legitimate rights and freedoms of citizens are recognized as the highest values under our Constitution. Ensuring Law and Order and strengthening national unity have been enshrined as fundamental principles. The development of science and education, innovation and high technologies has been defined as a strategic priority of the state. The Constitution clearly sets out the vision of Kazakhstan’s past, present and future,” he added.

During the event, the Head of State also recalled that Kazakhstan has established a national financial system.
