The red Swiss Chard is very nutritious. The sliced leaves and stems can be sautéed with olive oil, garlic, pepper, salt, and wine vinegar. When you attend field days of seed companies, you often see foreign vegetable varieties that are growing very well under local conditions. Yet, they are rarely appreciated by the local people.
