Another C-130 cargo plane acquired by the government from the United States is expected to arrive in the country today, Wednesday, it was announced by Philippine Air Force (PAF) spokesman Col. Araus Robert Musico. This is the first of two refurbished C-130 Lockheed planes worth P1.6 billion acquired under the US Excess Defense Articles (EDA) program. The second C-130 is expected to arrive in the third quarter of 2016. Musico said the aircraft is scheduled to be transferred to the PAF April 13. It will join three other C-130 aircraft now in the PAF inventory. Musico said the aircraft took off from Tucson, Arizona, early this week and made stopovers in California, Hawaii, Wake Island, and Guam before heading for the Philippines.
