MANILA --- Aside from preventing similar bombing attacks like what happened in Davao City last Sept. 2, the "State of National Emergency on Account of Lawless Violence in Mindanao" declared by President Rodrigo Duterte is also part of the government's efforts to eliminate the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
