Astana police punished a foreign woman for profane songs
The capital’s police department released footage of the "performer" singing popular hits, replacing lyrics with obscenities. The incident took place in front of the city's landmark Triumphal Arch. Another young woman is seen standing nearby, though she does not appear to be participating in the performance.

Police identified the individual as a 25-year-old foreign national.
Authorities noted that the content posted to TikTok violates standards of public decency.
"It was established that the video content was filmed at the Triumphal Arch on Mangilik El Avenue in Astana and subsequently published on social media. Evidence of petty hooliganism was compiled against the individual, identified as A.V. By court order, she was handed an administrative fine of 20 MCI (86,500 tenge in 2026)," the statement read.
Police reminded the public of the requirement to maintain public order and behave respectfully in public spaces. Posting illegal or offensive content does not exempt citizens from liability under Kazakhstani law.
