Andrei Arlovski vs. Junior Albini set for UFC bout in Norfolk
Heavyweights Andrei Arlovski and Junior Albini will clash at UFC Fight Night 120.
A clash of generations will take place in November, as the UFC’s website announced veteran Andrei Arlovski to take on prospect Junior Albini in Norfolk, Virginia.
Going through the worst stint of his career, Arlovski (25-15, 1NC) has suffered five losses in a row. The Pitbull was defeated by the likes of Stipe Miocic, Alistair Overeem, Josh Barnett, Francis Ngannou and most recently, Marcin Tybura, in June. His last win came via unanimous decision, in September 2015, when Arlovski defeated Frank Mir.
A young Brazilian prospect, the 26-year-old Junior Albini (14-2)meets the former champion boosted by a 10-fight winning streak, including his Octagon debut, in July, when he knocked out Timothy Johnson in the first round.
Andrei Arlovski is expected to meet Junior Albini at UFC Fight Night 120, in Norfolk, Virginia, on November 11. The card has been targeted to be headlined by a lightweight match between former champion, Anthony Pettis, and Dustin Poirier.
