A power explosion rocked Helmand province in southern Afghanistan earlier this afternoon. Preliminary reports suggest a Vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) has been detonated in Lashkargah city. Provincial governor spokesman Omar Zwak confirms the incident and said at least one person has been injured in the attack which was carried out by a car bomb.
