Three years after Dani Jacobsen’s most valuable jewelry was accidentally flushed down the toilet, a “panhandling” search of a Salmon Arm septic tank has returned a diamond engagement ring and pendant to the surprised Nanaimo woman. The jewelry, which also included Jacobsen’s wedding band and a pair of diamond earrings, had been flushed while the family was living in the central B.C. town after her son Cohen, then two, found them on the side of the tub.
