BART service back to normal after train stalls in Transbay Tube
BART service was back to normal after a train bound for San Francisco from the East Bay had equipment problems in the Transbay Tube and prompted major delay across the system, officials said.
The incident happened just after noon Tuesday when a train headed to San Francisco International Airport from the Pittsburg-Bay Point station developed braking problems in the Transbay Tube, said BART spokesman Jim Allison.
The incident triggered delays of up to 20 minutes on trains headed to San Francisco International Airport, Millbrae and Daly City and to the East Bay, officials said.
