Donald Trump Jr. Joked About Aurora Theater Massacre: ‘I Give the Movie Two Thumbs Up’ (Audio)
Son of the GOP candidate also mocked overweight people and beauty-pageant moms
CNN has unearthed audio of Trump Jr. making some eyebrow-raising remarks on the “Opie & Anthony” radio show back in 2012, including a joke about the shooting massacre at an Aurora, Colorado, movie theater on the day it happened.
After a tape was played of a witness describing the shooting in a crowded theater playing “The Dark Knight Rises,” the son of GOP nominee Donald J. Trump declared, “Overall I give the movie two thumbs up.”
Earlier that year on “Opie and Anthony,” Trump Jr. complained that political correctness had made it socially unacceptable to crack “fat jokes.”
When one of the hosts noted that obesity was now considered a medical problem, Trump Jr. scoffed, “Everything’s a disease.”
His father’s presidential campaign was sent reeling earlier this month by the leak of a 2005 videotape in which the elder Trump bragged about grabbing women by their private parts.
[...] during his campaign, he has openly attacked Mexican immigrants, military families, GOP rivals and of course his Democratic White House challenger, Hillary Clinton.
